Doctor of Education Major in Educational Management 

The Doctor of Education Major in Educational Management Program is an academic, research degree designed especially for school administrators at all levels of education, education specialists, and educators who are prospective school administrators. The program equips research-oriented educators/administrators with sound philosophical theories and practices in educational management and leadership attuned to the needs and demands of a highly globalized society. It is focused on developing the administrative skills and competencies of students in running an education system that requires knowledge on human and material resources vital in the execution of innovative leadership and managerial functions such as forecasting, planning, strategizing, supervising, controlling, and implementing structures for organizational operations. The program emphasizes high standards and advanced levels of academic challenge in pursuit of quality and excellence in education. It incorporates a research orientation for effective decision making, enabling them to become positive change agents in the attainment of national and international goals.

General Objectives: 

In the light of the University’s Vision-Mission, Institutional Graduate Outcomes, and Institutional Graduate Attributes, the Doctor of Education Major in Educational Management (EdD) Program intends to:

    1. Immerse students in the following operations of educational institutions such as planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and controlling the activities of an institution by utilizing human and material resources as to effectively and efficiently accomplish functions of teaching, research, and extension work.
    2. Motivate students to becoming implementers, and strategists of institutional programs such as curriculum, development, and resource enhance strategies geared toward solving problems in the educational system, and preparing for the challenges in the continuing change of educational landscape.


Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Development

Ph.D. in Peace and Development is a three-year interdisciplinary program that will advance holistically the students in the processes relative to understanding and practice the concepts, theories and approaches of peace and development highlighting the themes of personal peace, compassion and social justice, human rights, cultural solidarity and ethnicity, disarmament education, and environmental education from global to local levels contextualizing the Tripeoples of Mindanao. Students will be involved deeply in peacebuilding processes and movements. The program will strengthen the students’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and competencies in developing a comprehensive, multi-faceted strategy for ending violence in achieving and sustaining peace thru a scholarly inquiry about the circumstances surrounding peace and unpeace in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the nation and the world. 


Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

The Doctor of Business Administration program (DBA) is a three-year graduate program that enhances the knowledge and skills of business administration graduates on the theories, concepts and practices in management, managerial processes and research methods. It also covers topics in high-level decision making especially in business theoretical and empirical competencies and handling management as well as administrative problems.
