y (CBA) held a prestigious pinning and thanksgiving ceremony on August 2, 2025, at the Junior High School Theater, honoring 28 accounting interns and 13 newly licensed Certified Public Accountants.
y (CBA) held a prestigious pinning and thanksgiving ceremony on August 2, 2025, at the Junior High School Theater, honoring 28 accounting interns and 13 newly licensed Certified Public Accountants.The program began with a solemn entrance of student interns in full corporate attire, as they proudly marched with their parents in a symbolic procession.
Dr. Catlyn O. Pongot, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, delivered a warm welcome address to open the program. Fr. Francis Efren C. Zambala, OMI, DMin, University President, followed with an inspirational message and commended the honorees for their dedication and accomplishments.
Keynote speaker Ms. Naila Z. Dimaraw Macacua, President of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Cotabato City Chapter, delivered an empowering message and urged the honorees to embody the spirit of Faith, Integrity, Resilience, Excellence, and Service in both their personal and professional lives.
“Success is not just measured by titles or achievements, but by the person you become along the way,” Ms. Dimaraw remarked.
Ms. Freann Sharrise O. Austria, Human Resource Officer at Nonviolent Peaceforce, encouraged the honorees to see failure as a valuable part of the journey to success.
“Huwag kayong matakot magkamali dahil ang mahalaga, natututo,” she said. Fr. Zabala, together with Dr. Delma A. Yuarata, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dean Pongot, led the pinning ceremony and marked the interns’ formal transition into the professional world of accountancy.
Ms. Farisha S. Sapal, one of the interns, led the Oath of Commitment and guided her peers in pledging to uphold integrity and professionalism.
The ceremony then recognized the 13 newly licensed CPAs and awarded them certificates and tokens in honor of their achievements in the May 2025 CPA Licensure Examination. Under the guidance of the President of PICPA, Cotabato City Chapter, the new passers recited the Oath of Membership and formally became members of the chapter.
Mr. Nor Faiyz M. Dumarpa, faculty member of the Accountancy Department, delivered the closing remarks and extended his congratulations to the honorees, their families, and fellow faculty members for the success of the event and the achievements celebrated.
