𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲–𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Cotabato City, February 25, 2026 — Notre Dame University (NDU) hosted the 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲: 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲–𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 at the 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗸, gathering university officials and representatives from the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 for a meaningful exchange on regional cooperation.
The dialogue focused on 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰, 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 between the Philippines and Indonesia in the spirit of ASEAN partnership. The program began with a welcome reception of the Consul General’s team by the NDU Consultative Body, followed by interfaith prayers led by Fr. Jurambelle John C. Sacil, OMI, and Uz. Tahir A. Emran, MAEd. The singing of Indonesia Raya and Lupang Hinirang highlighted unity and mutual respect.
In his message, University President Fr. Francis Efren C. Zabala, OMI, DMin., emphasized the role of NDU in the field of education in the Empire Province of Cotabato. He described how the institution continued its mission to serve quality education to its students. Thus, partnerships and linkages with other institutions or organizations are welcomed to continue the work NDU has started.
Indonesian Consul General Hon. Agus Trenggono, expressed support for stronger partnerships, particularly in education and economic cooperation. Ms. Novita S. D. Supit, Indonesian Consul for Economic Affairs, presented the current profile, developments and vision of Indonesia, highlighting possible areas for collaboration. An open discussion and sharing followed the presentation.
Dr. Delma A. Yuarata, Vice President for Academic Affairs concluded the event with a closing remarks thanking everyone for their active participation for the succesful hosting of the visit. A ceremonial handover of tokens of appreciation sealed the occasion.
The gathering marked another step in 𝗡𝗗𝗨’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
