The University Research and Publications Center (URPC) conducted SeminarโWorkshop Session 1 for thesis writers from the College of Education (CED) and the College of Health Sciences (CHS) on July 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Tanghalang Michael Clark. The activity aimed to strengthen NDU studentsโ foundational skills in academic research writing for their undergraduate theses.
The seminarโworkshop focused on four key components of the thesis: identifying research problems, writing the research introduction, reviewing related literature, and developing conceptual and theoretical frameworks. Through lectureโdiscussion, practical examples, and interactive questioning, participants were guided in formulating clear problem statements, organizing introductions, locating and synthesizing relevant literature, and constructing frameworks that logically support their studies.
CED and CHS thesis writers also had the opportunity to raise questions about topic selection, literature searching, and framework development, allowing them to clarify common difficulties in the early stages of research writing. The seminarโworkshop forms part of NDUโs broader initiative, through URPC, to support colleges in enhancing research competence among students for the Academic Year 2026-2027.
