Notre Dame University- Junior High School never forgets to celebrate World Teachers’ Day focusing on the theme Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future. This special occasion for the teachers supposed to happen every 5th day of October, but It is better late than never for the NDU-JHS to have post-celebration that happened last October 28, 2021 through SSG Facebook Live. It is to prepare a worth-remembering virtual show and to showcase the prowess of the teachers on the field of dancing.
As the name suggests, the day is celebrated to honor teachers all around the world for their role in the economic development of their countries, as they are the sole reason for providing education to the society that enhances people’s quality of life.” Sir Butch Pascual, LPT in his emphasis on the most special occasion.
The program was lively heartful as Ma’am Rya Dojinog and Sir Roel Burlaos hosted the program mostly, when teachers grooved to the beat of some Tiktok dance challenge for their intermission number. The students both former and current of NDU-JHS never missed a chance to thank teachers by sending video greetings to acknowledge the efforts, patience, and sacrifices of the teachers in delivering quality education likewise with the pay-tribute video prepared by the SSG officers. Apparently, there was a guessing-game trivia entitled “Who You, My Hero!’ which was participated by the students of NDU-JHS through commenting down the name of the teacher being described in the trivia.
Indeed, JHS World Teachers’ Day is always a celebration that catches people’s attention and mind to the contribution of the teachers in educating NDU community and for being the transformative leaders with a character and excellence.
