𝐍𝐃𝐔 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲
With the theme, “Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession.” honoring its educators Notre Dame University joined the global celebration of World Teachers’ Day at the Cardinal Quevedo Gymnasium on October 10, 2025.
Welcoming remarks by Dr. Ronald G. Mamaril, CPA, Vice President for Finance and Administration, highlighting that teaching is not just a solitary journey but a shared one. Following after were the presentations and messages of gratitude and appreciation from the Basic Education, and Tertiary department by their respective student leaders, Thaara Akeefah J. Sultan, ETD SELG President, Sit Shahida S. Ahmad, JHS SSLG President, Alinajer I. Hadjracman, SHS SSLG President, and Ameera Sandara M. Adzis, Tertiary SSG President.
Fr. Francis Efren C. Zabala, OMI, DMin shared a video message about a story of one student named Teddy Stallard. A timeless narrative about a teacher who changes a student’s life through compassion and belief.
Concluding the program was a closing message by ma’am Aida L. Tan, MAEd, Director of Human Resources and Management Office. Fr. Francis Efren C. Zabala, OMI, DMin then announced that October 11 would be a no-class day, segueing into the highlight of the university’s program, Self-Pampering; offering free reflexology massage, manicure, pedicure, haircut, videoke singing and dancing, and a photo booth.
